Challenges
We had a compressed discovery phase and only two weeks to deliver a final mockup for a pitch. The product centered on an NFC tag embedded in material samples, which introduced a unique UX problem: anyone could tap it: from the original requester to someone who found the sample in a completely different context. Designing the experience required mapping every possible user state and anticipating the next best action for each scenario. Our goal was to help architects and designers (our main user persona) move quickly by highlighting their essential tasks and shaping them into an intuitive, low-friction app flow.
Approach
We identified at least four user types, each with different needs and motivations. The focus for this case study will be our primary user persona: architects and designers. The result was a minimalist, streamlined experience with the main actions surfaced upfront. As an added value, we proposed that this tap experience could be integrated into a “Sample Library app,” allowing users to save and access their samples anytime, anywhere. This approach increases the visibility of our client’s brands while turning every interaction into a portable, actionable lead.
